| TIVOLI THEATRE |
|
A landmark fixture the exciting Delmar Loop, The Tivoli Theater offers Moonrise Hotel guests a glimpse into St. Louis' vibrant history. The Tivoli originally opened in 1924 with speeches by St. Louis Mayor Henry W. Kiel and University City Mayor Warren C. Flynn, along with music from the Jules Silberberg Orchestra, and five vaudeville acts. A Streetcar Named Desire, The Wizard of Oz, and The Jazz Singer are just a few of the classic films that used to play on The Tivoli's screens. In 1995, Joe and Linda Edwards rescued this iconic landmark and painstakingly restored the historic three-screen theater. The Tivoli is conveniently located in The Loop at 6350 Delmar Blvd. near Blueberry Hill. Fast Facts About The Tivoli: |
